With so much of the area turned to ash, I have seen an abundance of Quail and their chicks on the property this Summer...

Internet down yesterday...
Some @#^%$ dug through the fiber optic cable down near Carlton - really?!
Anyways, was a good day - all the water lines are connected, and not leaking ; )
And the incorrect pallet of tile that has been sitting in the middle of the driveway for over two weeks was picked up and the correct tile delivered - yeah!
Amazing that this pallet of tile is 1,000 pounds, and most of it has to go upstairs. I got that out of the way quickly, and decided I was done for the day, and off to a yummy dinner...

We finally opened!!!
After weeks of high temps, continuous fires, smoke, freak hailstorms, downed trees, power outages, Shakespeare's Twelfth Night has opened at the Merc Playhouse in Twisp - a week and a day late, and that almost didn't happen with yesterday's monsoon winds...
I can't promise anything, but we have a matinee scheduled for today, and shows next week Thursday through Sunday.
Bring on the locusts...
I need to go cut up a downed tree now before I head off to the theatre ; )

If I was a religious man...
Fuck!
A storm cell came in with extreme winds that lasted for a good 30 minutes - both towns of Twisp and Winthrop without power, even the fire command center suffered a small fire and lost power.
Meanwhile, here at the house, we lost one of our beautiful pines and a seam in the metal roof ripped open. I put the ladder up when I thought I was safe from lightning to keep the whole roof from separating - the ladder was blown down and broke ; )
I managed to get it back up there and did a quick emergency repair to keep the roof panels from further damage - getting soaked and cold - amazing since that was the first time in two months I have been cold outside here.
Going to head back out and finish it up now that the rain and when seems to be on hiatus...

Shit...
A fire off Highway 20 between Twisp and Winthrop. 6 helos on it, but it is growing fast with our hight temps, high winds and low humidity...
I put on my Big Boy pants...
And hooked up the thermostats - no explosions this time...
Wanting to clear some space in the garage, I brought up the glass panels for the shower enclosure...
