Pulling down sheetrock and insulation with 25mph winds with gusts at 45, with no windows - not fun...

Presently having lunch in the RV, feels like I'm at sea - pass me the Dramamine ; )

I found this envelope/letter in one of the interior walls as I was "dismantling"...

Don't you need an official signature to make a curse valid?

And proper spelling...

If not, he needs to get in line - many curses upon me before he gets his shot...

New meter!

The power will be transferred to this new meter tomorrow as we disconnect the cabin...

A lot of work went in to getting this seemingly trivial thing to happen - including lots of blisters ; )

The cabin will be coming down this week, and I'm not sure what my power and internet situation will be...

Have taken out nearly all the cabinets and built-ins.  Going to go dig a new hole now.  I will spend one last night in the cabin, and take out the rest of the stuff in the morning...

Just finished moving everything out of the shed addition to the garage bay, and the wind and the rain started whipping in.

It's a cattle drive ; )

Cows don't follow directions very well ; )

Somebody thought it was a good idea to hand dig a 4' hole and a 2" deep, 24' long ditch in rocky soil...

Had a little scare this morning as I pondered the nice sheetrock ceiling in the garage - why I hadn't thought to install light receptacles in the garage - I had!

The insulators did such a good job insulating that they hid the light boxes from the sheetrockers.

Good thing I take pics - was able to find the 3 boxes fairly quick ; )

I'll be able to move my stuff out of the cabin and into the garage soon - which will mean that I will then be able to proceed with dismantling the cabin...

They had the cush job as they were inside, as I was ripping up the cabin decking and addition siding under the snow-melt dripping eaves ; )

Mr. Grumpy snickered at me when I told him I had to go back inside to take a dump - He muttered "You undeveloped animal", and proceeded to take a crap as he continued on with his daily business of wooing females, contesting foes, and insulting me...

Insulation Day!

I guess I'm not sure how I fill the wall cavities with this...

Idle hands make wandering minds...

After I finished prepping the garage for tomorrow's insulation, I ran out of things to occupy my attention - laundry, showering, shaving, prepping dinner, staring at the random snowflake, I decided to start on dismantling the cabin's shed addition.

The interior walls are OSB, screwed to the studs.  I must have unscrewed at least 500 of 'em - but it kept me from thinking how much I missed my wife and kitties ; )

This morning on the way to Winthrop...

And now it's cloudy with scattered snow flurries ; )

Decided to bring up the Mountain and Cross bike this Summer - sadly, with 25 mph gusts today and snow on the foothills from last night, I opted for the trainer...

Presently working on getting the garage ready for this coming week of insulation and drywall.  finished the wiring, put in an exterior outlet, the pellet stove wall thimble, and nailers for the drywall.  Just have to empty the garage out tomorrow, and it's ready to go.

My new home has arrived ; )

A friend may be taking the cabin as it stands...

I will need to get the decks, shed addition, and skirt off for its transport.

Very excited at the prospect of this great little home finding itself a new life...

Oh yeah, I'm now in the Valley - got here Wednesday - just got back online.
